On January 20, 2026 the Foundation held its second Basketball Showcase.

The Showcase was designed to give middle school athletes an opportunity to display their basketball skills in front of high school coaches and scouts, with the goal of creating exposure that could lead to future recruitment opportunities and potential scholarship support. Throughout the day, participants competed in several basketball games. All athletes participated free of charge and received custom DCF jerseys. The event drew strong attendance from high school coaches and NY scouts, helping create valuable visibility for the players both on and off the court. During the event, DCF awarded academic scholarships to two young NYC basketball players.
